French wireless HDTV a European first

All across France wireless HDTV is starting to be beamed into peoples homes. This is the first country in Europe to offer a wireless HDTV signal to its customer base. On 30 October France will become the first European country to broadcast five programmes via high definition digital terrestrial TV. The spread of high definition reflects the eager expectations of French people who are rapidly buying up high definition TV sets. Over two-thirds of the French population said they are personally looking forward to having HDTV in their homes according to a recent survey.
